Andean Telecom Partners (“ATP”), a leading owner and operator of telecommunications infrastructure in the Andean Region, today announced its acquisition of BTS Towers (“BTS”), from a group of investors that includes the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Cartesian Capital Group, and Amzak Capital. BTS is a privately owned provider of telecommunications infrastructure, headquartered in Switzerland, with operations in Latin America. This acquisition adds new strategic assets to ATP’s existing Colombia and Peru site portfolios, and marks ist entry into two new markets – Ecuador and Paraguay, reaffirming ist position as the largest privately owned telecommunications infrastructure provider in the Andean Region. Financial terms ft he private transaction were not disclosed.
