Walder Wyss berät EMZ Partners bei Akquisitionsfinanzierung für Beteiligung an Assepro Gruppe

Per 28. Januar 2021 hat EMZ Partners einen Mehrheitsanteil an der Assepro Gruppe mit Sitz in Pfäffikon erworben. Assepro ist der führende unabhängige Versicherungsmakler der Schweiz mit einem Fokus auf kleine und mittlere Unternehmen. Die Akquisition wurde durch Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd., Investec Bank plc und Luzerner Kantonalbank AG finanziert. Der Beitrittsprozess und damit die definitive Umsetzung der Finanzierungsstruktur wurde am 16. April 2021 abgeschlossen. Walder Wyss hat EMZ Partners bei der Akquisitionsfinanzierung in Bezug auf alle Aspekte des Schweizer Rechts beraten.

The European Private-Equity company EMZ Partners has entered into a binding contract to acquire the majority in ASSEPRO, headquartered in Pfäffikon, Switzerland. In addition to EMZ, the management team of ASSEPRO as well as further employees become significant shareholders in the Group.

ASSEPRO was created in 2016 through the merger of long-established Swissbroke and Fraumünster Insurance Experts. Based on solid organic as well as inorganic growth in recent years, the group developed into the leading independent insurance broker company with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Switzerland covering a broad value chain including brokerage, insurance advisory, risk management, pension schemes, financial/pension planning and employee benefits.

ASSEPRO covers its clients through its local presence counting 18 sites in the German-speaking region of Switzerland. Thanks to its long-standing experience in the risk protection of its customers the group currently accounts c. 8,000 SMEs as customers. In recent years, the group developed ASSEPRO.online as the market leading digital solution for its customers.

The acquisition of ASSEPRO is the 3rd deal of the Munich team of EMZ Partners around Klaus Maurer and Guntram Kieferle that started at the beginning of the year.
